The CEO of a financial services company said to me that his current IT company do provide scheduled backup, but the recovery is a manual process. This means they have access to all the personal and confidential data. And for this reason he is skeptical about backing his crucial files, leaving them exposed to vulnerabilities like theft, had drive crashes, software malfunction etc.
